TileTilt Privacy Policy

Information TileTilt uses

TileTilt may store or process the following information to operate the game:

• Anonymous app or session identifiers used to keep your game access working.
• Your TileTilt player display name.
• A hash of your recovery code. TileTilt does not store the plaintext recovery code.
• Game state, move history or logs, scores, share codes, and related gameplay records.
• Daily Word leaderboard entries and Daily Word results.
• Expo push notification tokens plus platform or device metadata needed to deliver gameplay notifications.

How the information is used

TileTilt uses this information to run the game, save progress, support Online PvP,
show Daily Word results, restore player identity with a recovery code, send gameplay
notifications, troubleshoot issues, and keep the service working reliably.

Push notifications in the current version are for gameplay events, such as Online PvP
turns and match updates. TileTilt does not use marketing push notifications in the
current version.

Advertising

TileTilt, the paid app, does not show ads at runtime. TileTilt Lite is the
ad-supported edition and uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads.

Google Mobile Ads may process information such as device identifiers,
advertising-related data, usage data, diagnostics, approximate location or
contextual information, fraud prevention information, and ad measurement data.
Google’s processing is governed by Google’s policies.

TileTilt Lite is configured for non-personalized ads where practical and does
not intentionally use ads to track users across apps or websites. If an ad is
unavailable, TileTilt Lite continues without showing one.

Service providers

TileTilt uses service providers such as Supabase for backend hosting,
authentication, and game data storage, and Expo for push notification delivery.
These providers process information only as needed to operate TileTilt.

Data retention

TileTilt keeps gameplay records only as needed to operate the app and maintain recent
game behavior. Finished games and terminal matchmaking rows are cleaned after a
retention window. Daily result rows may also be cleaned after a retention window.

Daily challenge definitions are retained so TileTilt can avoid repeating Daily Word
start words and preserve the source of truth for challenge dates.
